Learning at Home - All Subjects
Here are some Resouces Covering a Range of Subjects we think can supplement the work many schools are providing. We will be reviewing and adding to this resource list over the coming weeks.
The BBC has been working on their biggest ever learning project, enlisting a range of experts, celebrities and actors to help with both content and engagement. Sir David Attenborough, Professor Brian Cox and actors, Danny Dyer and Jodie Whittaker. Lessons involve video clips, animations, exercises and quizzes. New lessons are made available each day. The project is planned for a 14 week period.
The Oak National Academy has been established to support learning at home during the pandemic. It is an online resource with daily lessons in mainly the core subjects of English, Maths and Science, with some humanities, a modern language, Latin and Art. The plan is to extend the content and accessibility over time. The lessons have been designed and planned by teachers from a range of schools across the country. The secondary school lessons follow a format that includes an initial quiz followed by teacher input via video or voice recording, an independent task and a plenary quiz. The primary school lessons have video clips of teachers delivering content and engaging students with questions.
